The backdrop is majestic and the shots are long. This is a long range paradise. In "Point Break," longtime friend BuggetNuster and I hit the ridge line and make long range engagements with a few precision bolt action rifles. Our targets were bought at shopactiontarget.com (use code nutnfancy) and they provided immediate feedback that day even at the long ranges. Our longest shot was about 700 yds. Guns were a custom Remington action in AI stock .300, Rem 700P .300 in Multicam, and a Rem 700 SPS Tactical .308 (Bugget's gun is a Rem 700 action, 24" Schneider SS polygonal rifled barrel, Nightforce 3.5x15x50 1 MOA elevation, .5 MOA windage). A RRA PDS carbine was pressed into service as a spotter's rifle and the Walther PPQ makes a showing in an impromptu engagement, close range. All shot extremely well with no issues. We crest on this hike at a rocky outcropping I dub "Point Break" as it's a real tough, high declination shot from up there. We miss as much as we hit on it. Night falls and we continue to shoot as long as possible and the light gathering capabiites of the Nightforce, Burris, and Bushnell Elite scopes are used. With the awesome music of TNPr El Dudio providing soundtrack, I take you along for the adventure as we make the hike, learn from shooting, and have fun engaging in some pure long range fun and testing
